FO Friday- Cosy nose

Still working on the big projects. Last night I remembered why taking lace projects, even simple ones, to knit night is a bad idea. I have a couple of rows to tink back before I can carry on.

Last weekend I found another speedy project so I would have something to share with you.

My boss often complains that she has a cold nose, having seen a nose cosy pattern I threatened to make her one.

Yarn: King Cole merino blend DK
Needle: 3mm dpns

I used the fork pompom method once again. A pompom on the end was requested and I think it looks better than the tassel in the pattern.

The pattern is quick to make, probably less than an hour. It went down quite well at work, causing much amusement.

And a (slightly out of focus) picture showing just how daft the nose cosy makes you look.

This weekend I am hoping to finish my sweater. I am going to try converting the sleeve pattern from knit flat to pick up and short row from the top down. If all goes well it might be done to share next week.

  1. My sister insisted upon having a nose cosy once. But she thinks they fog up her glasses. It's a cute gag gift though!
