One a day

Actually, not even close. Although I did do a couple of squares at the weekend, this has been a very neglected project.

This is my attempt at getting the whole thing in one picture.

I have been working on getting it to the final width, so I have a really long thin bit that does not lend itself to pictures.

This week I spread it out on top of my kingsize quilt to see how close it is in size. With the five loose squares I need three more to make it the same width, which conveniently also makes it thirty squares across. I like round numbers so that is what I will go for.

I think I can get that done by the end of the year, three more edge squares and eight joining squares should not be too difficult.

  2. I LOVE that picture - it's like a work of art and that's before I get around to the project itself!!!!!! It's just amazing - can't wait to see it all finished and get a proper sense of scale. Stunning.

  3. I really like this idea. I also like how the tail curves around. This is going to be a great blanket when it's finished.
