FO Friday- Stripy stocking

OK, I want to make it clear I am not a fan of the ridiculously early festive season that seems to have descended. Generally speaking, if it is not December then it is too early to be Christmassy.

There is one exception, crafting. If you are going to make anything for Christmas then the earlier you start the less likely you are to be running round in a panic a few days before.

Last weekend I made my fastest sock ever.

Made in a single day thanks to using aran yarn and big needles.

Pattern: Stripy stocking by Fiona Hamilton-MacLaren
Needles: 4.5mm dpns
Yarn: A Little Bit Sheepish aran in straight off the sheep and Incredible.

For photographic purposes only I hung it by the fire.

It has been taken down now to wait for a more appropriate date.

  2. There is something about red and white. It will be beautiful for the holiday season. Now, if only wearable socks knit that fast.
