FO Friday- Hisssss

Chatting at knit night a few weeks ago we discussed how self patterning sock yarn would make for a great snake, the short round making the stripes nice and long down the length of the body.

I did some thinking, worked out how to do the head and here we have Hisssss

Pattern: Hisssss by Fiona Hamilton-MacLaren
Yarn: Regia 4 ply
Needles: 2.25mm dpns

The tongue is a bifurcated I-cord (I really just wrote that here because the word bifurcated is great).
The pattern is up on Ravelry, but you can also find it in the summer issue of Sheepish. Really it should have had its own post, and probably will, but for now you can find it here. Lots of free patterns and other crafty goodness. It is a super socky special!

  1. I love the ssssssnake. It'ssssssssssssss sssssssspecial and ssssssssuper cute. Bifurcated is a wonderul word.
