I am going to have a go at joining in with knitting and crochet blog week again this year, we will see how many days I get. You can find more details on Eskimimi's blog here. Search the internet for 4KCBWDAY1 to find more blog posts on the same topics from bloggers worldwide.
For the first day the challenge is to see which of four "houses" you identify with most, or if none then what your ideal one would be. The choices are bee, manatee, monkey and peacock.
Each house has characteristics, such as busy, comfy, new things or embellished (that is in brief, see the above link for more details).
Although there are elements from each I can identify with, I think it has to be the Bee for me (rhyming totally unintentional there). Bees jump from one project to the next, always busy.
Supporting evidence: I took a quick photo of my current, to hand, knitting projects
In here I have; a jumper, four pairs of socks, mittens and a shawl. These are in various stages of working on and hibernation, but they were all close to my chair so a fairly current.
Because I was taking the photo quickly I have not included a number of other knitting projects, spinning or the design ideas I have on the go. Some of the design ideas are in my head, but I can't take a photo of that for you. I guess I have something like 15 projects in some stage of being worked on.
Definitely fitting the buzzing around, jumping from project to project nature of a Bee!
Yep, I'm a bee too - lots of things on the go at any one time :)
ReplyDeleteSeeing that other people have lots on the go makes me feel a lot better about my bee like tendencies!
ReplyDeleteYou have so much going on ! It feels like it's ok to have many projects after all
ReplyDeleteHaha, yes I know the feeling of the queue around the house! The Ravelry queue bears no resemblance to reality. The queue is whatever is nearest to the chair!
ReplyDeleteGreat post, look forward to reading more this week, fellow Bee!
That's a lot of projects!
ReplyDeleteAnother bee here too :)
ReplyDeleteyou are a very busy Bee ..says this monkey from her tree house!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad I'm finding so many bees! I don't need anyone to make me feel better about the number of WIPs I have, but it's nice to know I'm not along. There's quite a few things within reach of my chair, too!
ReplyDeleteI am sure everyone has at least 2 projects on the go - if not they are surely lying?
ReplyDeleteFellow bee! It seems to be a very popular house. I thought for a minute about gathering all my wips/ufos, but no more than a minute because I know there are too many and some that I'm happy to have forgotten about. :-) Jessica
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you are participating! I'm excited to read what you have to say on all the topics :-)
ReplyDeleteYou sure have a lot going! I guess you really are a bee:)
