Year of projects- In which you get to see how the dyeing went

The yarn is out of the dye pot, dry and ready to use. It went from this:

To this:

I am really pleased with the colour, it is a lovely red wine shade. I use this colour a lot, in fact I have a hat and socks on the needles and several past projects in a similar colour. It is also the colour I had in mind for dying the Hemlock ring blanket. It seems to be evenly dyed so using the enormous pot was worth it.

Next week I will be swatching for my cardigan, that's right, I am planning to make a swatch! I have worked through quite a bit of the yarn already and still have lots of the year to go so I am going to work on this project slowly in between other things.
