Spinning Sunday- Singles

I finally finished spinning the first singles on my wheel. It was the end of a bag of undyed superwash fibre (type unknown).

There's about 100g of singles, it was going to be a 2 ply but I am going to try my hand at navajo plying instead.

  1. I haven't navajo plied on my wheel yet but it's rather easy on a drop spindle.

  2. I tried Navajo plying once and it didn't go so well. Sometime, when I'm in a patient mood, I am going to try it again but I am going to practice on some store bought yarn instead of my handspun that way if it doesn't go well at first, I won't get upset.

I would love to see you post the navajo plied yarn.

  3. I'm hoping you'll post all about your Navaho plying, it sounds like something very interesting. Happy Fiber Arts Friday!

  4. I won't lie. I don't understand what you're talking about, other than it has to do with making yarn of some sort. It's pretty though, and I'm sure when you're finished it will be even prettier... It's posts like this that really make me want to take up spinning. :)

  5. Once you get it started, Navajo plying is easy.
