Year of the sock, June- Raspberry twist

For my sock of the month this time I chose a test knit pattern for a friend, and paired it with some stash yarn. The pattern is Truro Twist by Nu, it will be up on Ravelry at some point. The yarn is Aruncaia Ranco multi; it was originally purchased to make a shawl but I was not keen on the pink camo effect for the shawl so frogged it. The yarn has been hovering since. Although the camo effect happened again it works quite well on socks.

The pattern is great, really easy to work and remember, so not too much time spent looking at charts. It was my first properly sucessful attempt at toe up socks (the first ever pair are too tight to get on).

Varigated yarn is not the best for this pattern as much of the detail work gets lost, it is better in real life than in the pictures, but still not overly easy to see. The pattern would be best worked with a solid or long colour change yarn.
