More squares as promised. The blanket is getting a bit of a boost as a by product of my no casting on until WIPs are finished- I don't have anything else simple enough to take to knit nights. I am not risking hours of lace and cable socks!

This week I have two squares, too much laughing/drinking tea/chatting/eating cake gets done to knit quickly.

Mirasol Chirapa from socks I made myself for Christmas. This is yummy, thicker than a lot of the others so I used it for an edge square.

Trekking XXL from a project that is not quite finished yet, they are the socks from my WIP list, should be done soon (just sewing bits left).

That blanket is going to be really sassy a full of so many wonderful stories. I've been toying with using my scraps to cast on a blanket. I love watching the progress on yours.
ReplyDeleteAre you using just sock yarns, or any yarn you have leftovers of?
ReplyDeleteSock yarns mostly, but there are a few others of 4 ply weight. I have also used a few slightly thicker sock yarns, the blue and grey which is in both pictures is a 6 ply sock. A little weight difference is ok, but too much would make the squares different sizes.
ReplyDeleteThat's looking great, nice project!
ReplyDeleteJust hopped over from Natural Surbia. I'm knitting a blanket too. Square by square. I love the colour of your wool. It looks so cosy.
