Pretty colours

Some pretty colours

I am thinking about the blue grey colour for my Year of Projects Mr Greenjeans project, but I am a bit nervous of dyeing so much yarn. I also just finished a blue/grey cardi, so maybe I should find a different colour. Any suggestions?

  1. Very pretty colours :) I seem to go through phases where everything I knit seems to be the same colour, so I'd maybe suggest something different than the blue grey because it can end up feeling like one neverending project rather than 2 different ones!

  2. I agree with pinkundine, vary your colors for your projects so you don't get bored with it. Perhaps you can have a few colorful side projects.

The truth is you really need to choose your favorite colors when you are knitting garments for yourself that will work with your wardrobe. No sense having an oddball color sweater that goes with nothing.

  3. Sometimes making something in black or white kind of 'cleanses the palate' for the next project...but you have to like what you're working on, or why make it at all?!?!

  4. Nice group of colors. Mr Greenjeans is my favorite sweater. I made a red one last year and love how it fits and can be dressy or casual depending what you're wearing it with. Have fun!

  5. They're all so pretty, I love the blue too! I'm looking forward to seeing a big batch of whatever you dye up, gauging on what you have pictured here, it will be gorgeous!

  6. I tend to stay in a small color range for a number of projects, without usually intending it, then all of a sudden I'm feeling like, "Good grief, why is everything so purple (or turquoise, or rose... )?"

All your colors are so pretty though I'd have a hard time choosing!

  7. I would have a hard time choosing ... I love reds, and I love blues and purples.

  8. I realized the other day that my next 3 planned projects are all black or mostly black. I was wondering if I would get bored, so I cast on a purply sock. It's still a dark color, so who knows... ;-)

    I like the blue-grey yarn.
