It is not easy to see progress on this, mostly because progress is slow. The ball of yarn has got smaller though so something must be happening.
I think I will be working on this for a while yet, at this point each round takes about 15 minutes so I have been setting a target of at least two rounds a day, obviously as the stitch count increases it will take longer so I will drop it to one round a day. Fortunately I have non YOP projects to keep me distracted, but it is tempting to cast on something else from my list.
The feather and fan section is progressing, it now looks like feathers and fans (I am not sure why these things suprise me).
Everyone made such lovely comments last week on this, I felt like a bit of a fraud! It really is a simple pattern, with four rounds of plain stocking stitch followed by a simple decrease and YO round. Since it is worked in the round even the stst is all done with knit stitches. The centre is a tiny bit harder, but if you do what the instructions say you will be fine.
If you have been eyeing up this pattern but avoiding it because it looks tricky avoid it no more!
