Scrap down- Mr Frog puppet

I have quite a lot of green to use up, so a frog is an obvious choice.

Pattern: Froggy bath puppet by Brian McGaunn
Yarn: Lion Wool ease (green), Patons smoothie (white), Regia 4ply held double (black)
Needles: 4mm (I think, I really should write these things down!)

This is a brilliant pattern, and very quick to make. I particularly like the way gaps are left for the eyes and lower jaw, although I did pick up a few extra stitches at the edges to close up some gaps. The eyes really pop out like boggly frog eyes. There is a lower jaw too for your thumb, but my photos don't show that very well.

He is child hand sized, so this is as close as I can get to an "in action" shot as it does not fit me.

Ribbit ribbit!

  1. How adorable! Now that's a knit I could get in to. When my Bears were super little, we always put on puppet shows. I really should get their puppets out the next time the little cousins come to visit.

    I love the eyes too.

  3. He looks just like Kermit! A wonderfully nostalgic flash back. Well done.

  5. So sweet. The frog would add a bit more fun to bath times. My son would love this.

  6. Is he still knocking around? I know a small person who would really love to give him a home! ;o)
