Weekly square 1

In the interests of moving my sock yarn blanket along a little I am aiming to have at least one square a week to post about. I have separated it from FO Friday because it is not really a(n?) FO and because it gives me more to post about each week.

This is the result of an experiment in colourways, it is a mix of violet and pink, a muted version of the fibre colourway I have named Aurora Borealis.

I am not really a fan of pink in general, but the great thing about the blanket is it can have a little of every colour.

I need to do some serious end sewing in next I think!

  1. I spent the whole of "V for Vendetta" last night sewing in the ends on my getting-quite-large granny rectangle blanket.

    It was quite therapeutic!

  2. Is this the same blanket you were working on last year or is this a new one? I love the colors you put together.

  3. Its the same one, there is a long way to go until it is finished. I just decided it deserved its own weekly post away from FO Friday

  4. I enjoy seeing the tiny bit of this blanet each week. It will be really fun to see it when it's finished.

And I'm with you on the pink, a little goes a long way.
