What can I do with this lot?
s
s Make an entry for a charity decorate your bra contest of course!
s
s The flowers were crocheted from sock yarn scraps and stuck on over a shiny scrapbooking jewel.
s
sThe square for this week is a bit fancy, it is 100% silk, I found a skein in a sale bin a few weeks back and squeezed a project out of it with just enough left over for a square. It adds some texture to the blanket, smooth and shiny.

What a cute bra. You must have had a lot of fun creating that.
ReplyDeleteI do not completely understand what or whom it is made for but it looks great!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy seeing the blanket square each week. Which pattern are you using?
ReplyDeleteI love the bra and for a great cause too. That silk square will be a great focal point in your blanket. Are you enjoying knitting the squares? I really should learn how to make those so I can use up all of these sock yarn remnants.
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your comments, just back from a weekend away so sorry for the slow replies
ReplyDeleteThe decorated bra was a competition entry, the entry fee went to cancer research and it was judged by the public who made a small doantion to vote for their favourite. It is not designed to be worn, but probably could be.
I am using the Shelly Kang pattern for the squares, from http://www.shellykang.com/all-about-the-blankie. I love making them, you get a finished project feeling each time a square is done and it uses up all the scraps
