Woohooo!

I have run out of shops/yarns that I can review for now, so the Tuesday reviews have been temporarily stopped until I go shopping again or get enough use out of a yarn to comment on it.

The woohoo! in the title is because yesterday I won a pattern, a sock pattern in fact, and we all know I love a good sock pattern :). I entered a giveaway at leaf green knits and was chosen to pick a pattern, so socks it was. They will most likely pop up as sock of the month in the next few months, I just have to choose a yarn to make them with.

Since it has been a week since my post about getting my knitting life organised I thought I would show you how it is going. Here is a before picture of my stash. There is an unwashed fleece missing, but I did not want to make the rest of it smelly.

I gave it its own profile on the wii fit so I could weigh it (I broke my normal scales by dropping a book on them)- it is a dog called stash weighing in at 9.5kg, including the boxes, but excluding the smelly fleece.
After weighing the sorting began, the cardboard box is gone, the paper shopping bag is full of yarn to sell or donate and the storage box almost closes. A month or two of stash knitting and I think it will close completely. I also have a plan B to help this along, it is possible my fibre needs a stash box of its own as fibre and yarn are currently sharing.

The washed fleece has been stored in a vac bag. Plastic is not ideal for storing fleece, but it does keep the moths off and the space difference is really quite impressive. I made sure it was totally dry before packing it.
